An alternative to leaving class...

... Live Support!

This feature isn't actually new. We've had it since the introduction of the Helpdesk some 5 years ago - but is rarely used by staff / students.

If you are in a scenario where you require IT support but are in a classroom, without a phone, or want to ask a quick question instead of sending in a full support ticket, simply click on the Live Support button on the left hand side of this page.

If one of our staff are 'online' you will be able to message them in real-time. If we happen to be away or offline you will be prompted to leave a message!

Helpdesk Update (September 2016)

Welcome to the Helpdesk!

Our web-based Helpdesk solution has been in place for about 5 years now.
Originally this was implemented purely to assist the joint IT & Media team in logging, prioritising and tracking incoming jobs / tasks. This revolutionised the way in which the team worked, allowed greater team performance, better management and has led to more proactive support instead of the old reactive (wait until something is reported as broken) support model! It has now expanded to support other service areas within NT and NET.

As a reminder, if you require support from either of the specific teams, you can either log a ticket from the helpdesk home page ( or email one of the specific email addresses which will automatically submit a ticket in to the helpdesk under the correct department.
